About
ABOUT GREEN COUNTRY AIRCRAFT
Green Country Aircraft is a manufacturing company with core competencies in complex-shape hydroforming, sheet metal, both 3- and 5-axis machining, welding, and assembly for aircraft applications. We operate in a forty thousand square foot, three building complex adjacent to a main highway and are conveniently located just ten minutes from Tulsa International Airport. Green Country Aircraft supports OEM and Tier 1 customers for the commercial, business jet and general aviation arenas for fixed wing and rotorcraft airframes. Typical customer purchase orders range from small-lot sizes to continuous-production runs of up to fifty ship sets per month. We utilize a wide variety of innovative software technologies to support efficient manufacturing and our state-of-the-art inspection equipment.
Green Country Aircraft was at the forefront of providing kitting expertise to its customers. We employ an efficient kitting system designed to reduce part handling, minimize inventory levels and eliminate part shortages to assure on-time delivery. Green Country Aircraft has strategic alliances with NADCAP / OEM approved suppliers for NDT and finish applications, and holds an AS9100 rev C Certificate.
Over the last 10 years, the Green Country Aircraft team has established a world-class reputation for customer support for build-to-print aircraft components, structures, and assemblies. We pride ourselves on superior customer service and meeting critical delivery schedules while providing outstanding products at competitive prices. Leadership recognizes the need to heavily invest in the “people” side of the business and attract the best talent for all disciplines. Acquiring state-of-the-art capital equipment for production and quality is also a priority to stay ahead of the competition. Green Country Aircraft knows how important a fully-functioning ERP system is and, for that reason, implemented JobBoss to support all of our business functions for a seamless operating system.
Green Country Aircraft also recognizes the effect on the overall supply chain and we make every effort to identify and mitigate any and all risks. The acquisition of Neodesha Quality Machining in early 2017 was beneficial to risk mitigation; offering synergistic capabilities with significant geographical distance between sites. It also adds to the commonality of processes and enables us to utilize cross-functional teams at both sites. This marriage allows us to implement and improve the business based on best practices. We continually improve our process to achieve the maximum output in all aspects of the business.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT PROCESS
GCA’s account management team manages each customer’s entire program from start to finish, providing status updates regularly via the customer-formatted report and our newest Gantt-style automated report. This report can be generated at any time to give real-time accurate status for each individual part. Our account management team is readily available for phone calls or status updates with the customer regarding each specific program.
When a purchase order is placed, all parts go through a quick-turn, comprehensive contract-review process that is evaluated by every department at Green Country Aircraft before the job is released to the shop floor. We collectively assess required testing and possible risks that may be involved with the job and subsequently lay out a plan for choosing sub-tier suppliers and meeting the program schedule. We have CNC programmers and software for all equipment in-house, allowing resource availability to start programming parts immediately. We also utilize 2D programmers that can work on any sheet metal parts. We are able to run machined parts on full 5-axis or 3-axis machines. Sheet metal blanks can be run on our waterjet, router, or laser prior to going to the brake or hydroforming. Green Country Aircraft is also fully approved and prepared for any welding or assembly that may be required on new parts.
Daily meetings among our program, production, purchasing, and shipping managers keep everyone in the loop on the status of programs and ensure that all requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. Our purchasing team manages all sub-tier suppliers and provides daily updates on the status of parts and their due dates throughout the process.
Green Country Aircraft employs an efficient kitting system designed to eliminate part shortages. This efficiency lowers costs, reduces cycle times, improves project readiness and provides on-time delivery. The management team makes use of charts and metrics generated by our MRP system to constantly evaluate processes and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
