Complex Metal Forming

Green Country Aircraft processes many types of materials through its various equipment. We prepare the raw materials by either shearing or cutting prior to processing on the punch, router, water jet, laser, press brake and/or machining. Green Country Aircraft has six hydroform presses with tonnage capacities that range from 200 to 800 and sizes from 14” diameter to 40” X 70”. We process complex shapes at low to very high volumes using a variety of materials. Green Country Aircraft has in-house capabilities to heat treat aluminum to AMS 2770 and fusion welding to D17.1 for aluminum, titanium, inconel, and stainless steel.

CNC Milling

Green Country Aircraft uses HAAS 3- and 5-axis vertical CNC machining centers to machine complex shapes from various base metals such as aluminum, steel and stainless steel. We have a machine size capacity of up to 40″ x 30″ x 120″ in length and a 4-axis, 7-pallet horizontal machining center with 200 tool capacity which can operate as a lights out, high volume machine.

At Green Country Aircraft our skilled machinists can produce products to the most stringent specifications, backed by extensive programming and engineering capabilities to complement our manufacturing excellence. Our machinists have a wide range of experience that contributes to the quality standards that Green Country Aircraft has implemented as well as promoting and maintaining safety and quality in the workplace.

Quality Assurance

The general inspection area and the Zeiss Contura G2 programmable CMM machine are housed in climate-controlled areas separate from the rest of the facility. These areas are continuously monitored for temperature and humidity conditions. AS9102 first-article inspections are typically performed on the CMM and Green Country Aircraft annually processes about 1000 FAI data packages. We utilize state-of-the-art software to compile/complete FAI reports. Green Country Aircraft also utilizes a Faro Edge manual CMM, a 4’x6’x18” certified granite surface plate and a full range of handheld measuring equipment. Hardness and conductivity measuring capabilities are also performed in the quality laboratory. Tools are calibrated at a third-party NIST traceable calibration laboratory and maintained in our calibration database.

Assembly

Green Country Aircraft provides assembly ranging from bench top installation of nut plates, bushings, riveting to adhesive bonding. We also assemble and test portable GSE equipment for commercial jet engine cleaning. Green Country Aircraft successfully executes fabrication, assembly, testing, and project management of ground support components.

The Green Country Difference

DESIGN & INNOVATION:

Green Country Aircraft enables its engineers and programmers to create any type of 3D assemblies for a wide range of engineering processes with powerful software solutions that employ non-contact point cloud digitizers and contact-based probing devices to:

  • Control tool and part dimensions
  • Diagnose or prevent manufacturing or assembly issues
  • Guide assembly building through real-time measurement
  • Control the quality of assembled products

INTERCONNECTING PROCESSES:

Green Country Aircraft provides account management, final assembly and kitting, and other value-added services to support production at any stage of the program or product-manufacturing life cycle.

Efficient kitting is designed to streamline procurement, reduce part handling, minimize inventory levels and eliminate parts shortage. This efficiency in turn automatically lowers costs, reduces cycle time, improves project readiness and helps shorten production schedules.
